What’s good about Bristol Energy?

Bristol Energy is just that, good. It’s an energy company set up by Bristol City Council a few years ago, with the ultimate goal of providing a UK based energy supply.

They’re currently 100% renewable electricity and providing lower carbon gas to their customers. They have great customer service from my perspective. Most of what needs to be done can be done solely online or through the mobile app, which is hassle-free and works smoothly.

They have also made the promise to donate £20 per referral to their fuel good fund which provides monetary contributions to local UK community projections and the environment, making the UK a better place to live. Can’t argue with that. 

Any downsides to Bristol Energy?

Honestly I’ve not had a problem so far. The tariffs are fantastic pricing and they are available for a much longer period than other providers.

This energy company is modern, most if not all functions are done through the online portal or mobile application. This might put some people off. Depending on how hands-on you are with your energy, Bristol Energy will prompt you with an email to state when you need to submit meter readings and will give you 5 days to do so. Even if you don’t, they’ll simply estimate your bill.
