What’s Good About the OYO hotels?

I have found OYO hotels to be incredibly pleasant stays. The rooms are quite big and super clean, the beds are comfy, they are typically in great locations and the personnel are really nice and helpful… we would definitely repeat and recommend it to anyone! They are also typically half the price of hotels in similar areas.

OYO is owned by the 2nd youngest billionaire in the world (after Kylie Jenner) and they don’t typically own the hotels, rather they franchise the branding to hotels and guest houses and all the benefits that come along with being part of the brand name. You are likely to have a good nights sleep but would set your expectations as it won’t be life-changing.

Another thing I like about OYO is that they often show you the best discount codes on their own app and website, so you don’t have to go searching around, knowing you got a bit of a deal.

Anything to watch out for?

As with any hotel franchise, the quality and experience do vary – it’s not like Premier Inn or Travelodge where it’s more or less the same experience wherever you go. I would treat it like a guest hotel and read the reviews of the individual location as you may find that some are drastically better than others.

Overall though I’ve on my stays I’ve found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, and are often the owners too.
