What’s Good About Curve?
I don’t know about you but I have different cards that I use for different things. From a joint account to pay for household things, my Monzo card for day to day smaller transactions like lunch or a coffee, to my BA Amex credit card that I use for bigger transactions; earning Avios points & improving my credit rating at the same time.
It’s a pain carrying them all around and whilst I’ve opted for a thin cardholder instead of a wallet, I regularly seem to have the wrong card with me, or I’ve left it on a side table.
With the Curve card, it’s all their on one card or you can just use the Curve app and contactless to switch between them all. You can also track spending and see where exactly you’ve spent your money. This is a fairly standard feature for most cards nowadays, but it’s often fragmented as you spend on different cards.
Curve has been downloaded by over 300,000 users, and it’s easy to see why with features like zero fees abroad (regardless of which card you use) and the insights section witch gives you AI-driven suggestions on aspects of your spending like where you are spending too much money or wasting it, kind of like Cleo.
If you used the Curve referral code let me know in the comments which bonus you got and what you thought about the service.
If it’s free, how do Curve make money?
Whilst the Curve blue card is free, they do also offer paid options for £10 and £15 per month depending on if you go for the black or red card.
The premium options offer a range of features like 1% cashback on selected shops (over 100 retailers at present) and included travel and gadgets insurance. This is where you can really make your money back if you pay for insurance already. if you recall Monzo tried a similar premium card and later decided to withdraw it from the market as it flopped, but the Curve paid service is getting respectable reviews from its customers.
